Walking
tour around the castle park and Molpir archaeological park.
It is known for the remains of the fortified Celtic settlement
from the Hallstat period. Among others, archaeologists have
uncovered evidences of cannibalism there. |

alternative guided excursions can be selected:

Visit of the historical city of Trnava (by bus). Trnava is
the seventh largest town in Slovakia with a population of almost 70 000, lying near Smolenice in the south-west corner of the
country.
• Hiking
tour in Little Carpathians (walking - touristic outfit and
boots desirable). Participants will experience a nice tour to
Záruby (768 m), and back to the Smolenice castle.

Walking trip to the Driny cave(45 minute walk). Cave with fissure corridors
decorated with rich sinter fillings. The cave was discovered in
1930, current show track is 410 m long. Eleven species of bat
live in the cave.
