- Visit in Molpir museum (entry at 9:15). Molpir is a hill nearby the castle. It is known for the remains of fortified Celtic settlement from the Hallstat period. Among others, archaeologists have uncovered evidences of cannibalism there. |

alternative guided trips can be selected:
- Visit of the Red Stone Castle (Červený Kameň)(by bus) Visit of a near-by castle with rich and valuable collections, well-known also for its huge cellars.
- Hiking tour in Little Carpathians (walking tour - touristic outfit and boots desirable). Participants will experience a nice tour to the spring nature in mountains surrounding the Smolenice castle.

- Walking trip to the Driny cave (by cars and 10 minute walk, entry before 10:00,
45 minute walk back). Cave with fissure corridors decorated with rich sinter fillings.
The cave was discovered in 1930, current show track is 410 m long. Eleven species of bat live in the cave. |
