TRANSPORT TO / FROM SMOLENICE

The castle in Smolenice can be easily reached by taxi or by bus from Bratislava. The bus stop in Smolenice is about 1 km from the castle. Bratislava is accessible by plane (airport Bratislava or airport Vienna), by train or by bus.

Smolenice can be reached also by train from Bratislava to Trnava and from Trnava to Smolenice. However, the railway station in Smolenice is about 3 km from the castle.

Besides the public transport, special conference buses will be organized from/to Bratislava before and after the conference on April 26 and April 30, 2011.

Special conference buses

Special conference buses are free of charge for those who make reservation in the registration form. They will be organized:

• from Bratislava to Smolenice on April 26, 2011
    - at 15:00 from the main railway station in Bratislava (Bratislava - hlavná stanica)
    - at 15:30 from the main bus station in Bratislava (Autobusová stanica Bratislava)

If you arrive in Bratislava by plane use city bus No. 61 to get from the airport to the main railway station (25 minutes).

Ticket (0,70 Euro) should be bought in advance in kiosk or ticket vendor and marked immediately after entering the bus.

    - departure at 13:00 from the Smolenice castle.
    - expected arrival at the Bratislava main railway station at 14:30
    - expected arrival at the Bratislava main bus station at 15:00
